Each year, true story fans from across Berlin come together to breathe fresh life into the ancient art of storytelling — revealing its power to connect us in authentic, meaningful ways.
In this special curated edition, the top 10 storytellers, voted audience favorites at THE bEAR’s last 10 shows return to the stage — voices that have moved, thrilled, and inspired. What’s shared is real. What’s spoken is honest. What we hear, we’ve all felt.
Told live — no notes, no filters — and in English (reflecting our international community on stage and in the audience), these personal stories all revolve around one universal theme: The Pursuit of Happiness.
What does it even mean to chase joy in today’s world?
You’ll hear tales that surprise, stir laughter, and open hearts — weaving through the absurd, the beautiful, and the deeply human. With each story, a new light is cast on the experience of being alive.
Add to that the intimacy of live piano, a vibrant audience, and the raw courage of people baring their souls on stage — and you have a night that’s part theater, part confession, part celebration.

THE bEAR – Berlins Top 10 Storyteller auf der Bühne
Ein Abend voller wahrer Geschichten, Livemusik und unvergesslicher Momente
Jedes Jahr kommen Freunde des authentischen Geschichtenerzählens aus ganz Berlin zusammen, um 10 ausgewählten Erzähler:Innen zu lauschen und um zu erleben, wie kraftvoll uns echte, persönliche Geschichten auf berührende Weise miteinander verbinden.
Der uralten Kunst des Geschichtenerzählens wird neues Leben eingehaucht.
In dieser besonderen, kuratierten Ausgabe stehen die zehn Favoriten der letzten zehn THE bEAR-Abende erneut auf der Bühne – sie haben das Publikum auf besondere Art bewegt. Was geteilt wird, ist echt. Und was wir hören, haben wir alle schon einmal gefühlt.
Live erzählt — ohne Notizen, ohne Filter, mit Live-Musik vom Piano.
Im Zentrum dieser persönlichen Geschichten steht diesmal das folgende Thema:

Was bedeutet es heute, Glück zu erleben - oder zu finden?
