“What started out as just a

storytelling workshop, ended in a day of getting to know myself better and connecting with people I had never met before. I am more confident about my skills and understand how to continue to improve.

Also, it was a lot of fun!”

12-hour workshop in autobiographical storytelling on 4. November ‘23.

In preparation for THE bEAR’s upcoming open stage shows on Nov 17th and December 8th, 2023 - we invite you to immerse yourself into the world of creating, crafting, and connecting through the Art of Storytelling.

By the end of the day, you will have crafted a meaningful experience into a story using simple techniques, as well as feedback from your fellow storytellers. And after telling your story already several times during the workshop, you will feel confident to share it with the world.

Start 2024 with a splash and take a cold plunge into storytelling!

Find, Craft. Tell. Your Story

We all have stories to share:

strange neighbors, funny uncles, tragic accidents, near catastrophes,

short-lived romances, unforeseen trouble, invisible angels...

Most of us don't realize how many stories we have and the rest of us don't know how to best tell them.

We will breathe fresh air into this millennial old art form:

  • EXPLORE key moments in your life that have shaped who you are.

  • LEARN how to make these experiences into compelling stories.

  • BUILD your confidence and skills as a speaker, by sharing your story with a supportive, friendly audience.

After exploring why stories work, what is a story, and how to create one - you will build your story, following an easy step-by-step guide.

In a safe space, you can test out your ideas and receive supportive peer and trainer feedback. The climax of the day is after a dinner pause together, we will turn on the stage lights and share our finished stories with each other.

We will laugh, have a good time, and learn a whole lot.

Yes, it’s purposely a long day to allow the time to ponder, pause, play, have fun, and also at the end to feel fatigue. In this tired state, we often are more apt to let go of our protective shields, and just be ourselves: vulnerable and genuine.
